Privacy policy

How we process personal data in Traditore, the editorial collaboration portal.

Last updated: 19 July 2026

1. Controller

The controller of personal data processed by Traditore is Marc Tomàs Sánchez, who operates this as a non-profit personal project.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact [email protected].

2. Data we process

  • Account data: email address, display name, initials, and a password stored only as a hash.
  • Optional profile data, such as an ORCID identifier.
  • Editorial activity: projects, comments, reviews, proposals, contributions, and decisions associated with your account.
  • Technical data strictly necessary for service security, operation, and diagnosis.

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Creating and administering accounts, authenticating users, and maintaining active sessions.
  • Enabling editorial collaboration, preserving attribution, and maintaining versioned project history.
  • Protecting the portal, preventing misuse, and resolving technical incidents.

Processing necessary to provide the account and portal is based on delivering the requested service. Security measures are based on the legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. If optional communications are offered in the future, specific consent will be requested.

4. Providers and recipients

Traditore uses technical providers for hosting, database, DNS, and email. In particular, the service may rely on Render for hosting and database, Cloudflare for DNS and email routing, and Google Fonts to serve typefaces. Only data necessary for each service is shared.

We do not sell personal data or disclose it for behavioural advertising.

5. Retention

We retain data while an account is active or as necessary for operating and securing the portal. Editorial content and attribution may be retained longer when necessary to preserve the integrity, citability, and traceability of scholarly history. Sessions expire automatically.

6. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or portability of your data by writing to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

7. Security

We apply reasonable measures to protect data, including encrypted connections, passwords stored as hashes, project-scoped access control, and configuration secrets kept outside the code repository. No system can guarantee absolute security; if we detect a relevant incident, we will address it in accordance with applicable obligations.

8. Cookies

Traditore uses technical cookies necessary to maintain a session and protect the service. If analytics cookies or other non-essential technologies are added, consent will be requested before enabling them. See the cookie policy for current information.
